We have three photographers to feature as this year’s Pulitzer Prize winners in photojournalism.
Tyler Hicks
The New York Times won five awards this year, including a win in the International Reporting category for its special coverage of the deepening conflict in Pakistan and Afghanistan. These photographs were taken by NYT staff photographer Tyler Hicks. Hicks earned a journalism degree from the Boston University School of Communication in 1992. He freelanced prior to joining the NYT staff and, in 2007, was named Newspaper Photographer of the Year by the Missouri School of Journalism through their Picture of the Year International contest.
